Woodkid - The Golden Age - Vinyl LP Record

Enter a breathtaking world of cinematic grandeur, thunderous orchestral percussion, and poignant storytelling.

Originally released in 2013, The Golden Age is the majestic debut studio album from French musician, director, and visual artist Yoann Lemoine, best known as Woodkid. Conceptually exploring the loss of innocence and the turbulent transition into adulthood, the record stands as an epic, highly theatrical art-pop masterpiece.

Crossing effortlessly between Art Pop, Baroque Pop, Orchestral, and Chamber Music, the double LP relies on massive brass sections, booming marching snares, and sweeping string arrangements. Woodkid's trembling, expressive vocal performance anchors huge viral anthems like the unstoppable "Run Boy Run" and the powerful, brass-heavy "Iron". Balanced by tender, delicate ballads like "Boat Song" and "Where I Live," The Golden Age offers an immersive, audio-visual journey. Housed in a gatefold jacket, this standard 2LP pressing captures every dynamic frequency of its lush orchestral production.
